Replacing the aging Renault Estafette in 1980, it is also one of the first utilities that shared its platform with many other manufacturers, notably Opel and Chevrolet, then later at the end of the 90's with Inokom, and even Tata in the 2000s. Its flexible platform even served as a motorhome for the Winnebago brand!
